The film showcases the cruelty of the time and entrapment of justice in rigid and lifeless caste structures of ancient India. It highlights the struggle of the Shudras who are the lowest class of people in the Hindu hierarchical caste structure for even fulfilling their most basic human needs of water, food, clothing and medicine which are denied to them. They are subjugated, humiliated tortured and killed for even the slightest infringement and their rights are considered worse than the animals owned by the castes above.
